Objectives 

• To develop a Cook Islands Maori Bilingual Education Professional Development program for schools.
• To provide guidelines on how to implement best practice Bilingual Education and biliteracy across the curriculum.
• To evolve and promote an Ivi Maori model of Bilingual Education which explores and adapts regional and international evidence on immersion, two way literacy/pathway and maintenance heritage approaches.
• To grow a shared understanding and responsibility across the Cook Islands education sector for an evidence based approach to developing best practice Bilingual Education in Cook Island schools.
• Provision of an evolving Cook Islands Ministry of Education Bilingual Education policy, strategy and action plan.
