Education Masterplan Launch 

The launch of the first education master plan is seen by government as an important step forward for the nation. The 15-year strategic plan has been broken down into five yearly periods for specific goals to be carried out. By 2023 the ministry wants to see all children in the country attending early childhood education centres, and ensure that at least 60 percent of school leavers go on to some form of tertiary education. For the adult population government wants to see at least 25 percent in tertiary training by the completion of the plan. Here we look at some of the key areas of focus of the plan and the work already started to set the foundation for Cook Islanders to better realise their learning journeys.
